Questions

Is Wisconsin Speaks partisan?

No. We don't work for any party or candidate. We show what residents say and what the public records show, and let you decide.

Where does the information come from?

Public records: campaign finance filings, public meeting agendas and minutes, and government budgets. We list the sources with each episode.

What happens to my tip?

We read every tip. Nothing is published until we've checked it against public records. A tip by itself is never treated as a fact.

Can I send a tip without being named?

Yes. Tell us in your message that you don't want your name used, and we won't use it.

How does speaking on camera work?

Choose "Speak on camera" in the form. We'll email you to set up a short recording in or near Brookfield. You can say no to anything before it airs.

What areas do you cover?
